You don't actually have to rely on Dream Machines to get proper gear or good items, but it sure is a nice surprise when you get something great.
You'll probably have way more to spend when using a Dream Machine.
Just remember that you can use a Dream Machine only once after which it will have an undefined cooldown.
Just leave the area, you'll probably come across another Dream Machine anyway.
